Discovered this lot hanging around a building site in Pattaya. I was looking for things to photograph, not entirely sure what they were doing there. It transpired they were from Nepal and probably not in possession of work permits or anything else that might make them legal.
Had a bit of a chat about their fine country and then I asked if I could take their photo. They agreed:

Leica 0
Had a bit more of a chat about their fine country and then they asked for some cash. I declined.
We parted friends, although I am not going there again.

2015-07-24| subroto mukerji saysYou did well to chat them up and tactfully exit the scene. These migrant labourers are usually completely broke and violent crime is second nature to them. India’s NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) has thousands of cases on record where Nepali house servants murdered their employers and decamped with all the cash and jewellery in the house. They were once a simple, god fearing and honest people; not any more. They have a very bad reputation here now.

When they are in groups, I can usually guess their origin correctly, but for your lot I have no idea.
