She who must be obeyed’s latest hobby is making jewelry. Little packets of stones and fittings arrive daily from all over the world (actually, China) and she spends many happy hours creating bracelets which I universally admire; because that is what husbands do.
This morning her collection of worthless semi-precious precious stones were laid out in the garden under the sun. I had to ask why.
“Why are your stones laying out in the sun?”
“For the eclipse.”
“You think the rays from the eclipse will make you stones more magical?”
“Yes.”
“The eclipse was yesterday.”
“Oh.”
Four hours later, they are still there. I am tempted to ask how magical they will be if the cat rushes out and knocks the whole damn lot into the pool and thence into the filter system. But I will stay silent; because that is what good husbands do.

2015-03-21| Grant says“…her collection of precious stones was…” Given that you are currently waiting for Adolf’s own personal Leica to clear Customs at BKK Aerodrome the least you can do is bung her the odd garnet or opal or ruby by way of atonement. Assume you’ve already done the diamond thing…
2015-03-23| Jerry saysIt’s the current craze. Ladies are going into small personal businesses making and selling these “rocks with powers” bracelets. Mind you, some of them can fetch upwards of 50K THB! She might be saving up to surprise you with a new balalaika.
