Aah, the memories! Are you back in the saddle at the Polo Club?

Seemed like a good place to test out the lens. Don’t worry, I will not be returning on a regular basis!

You notice slower focus speeds with the extender on it?

The Glue Boilers and Pet Food Producers Gazette salutes your return to the field! That’s a fine specimen you’ve shot, should boil down really well after the rest’s been canned. The horse ain’t bad either…

I did some shooting with and without the extender and did not notice a difference. I will be doing a post on my experiences after more testing this afternoon.

But not, hopefully, my Staedtler Tradition 110 series 2B crossword weapon which is allegedly made in Australia, of all places. I’m much impressed that you made no attempt to essay any weak jokes involving the use of the word ’lead’, as indeed neither did I…

Is that why all the pencils I use at work have the graphite drilled off-centre? - he is too busy playing polo to get the machines tuned up?

Sort of Andrew. It’s as if the grooves in the two longitudinal halves of the pencil have differing depths and when this is coupled with one pencil half being made from very stringy softwood and the other being made from titanium reinforced teak you end up with a pencil which is almost impossible to sharpen by any mechanical means without breaking the lead time after time after time. Net result? More pencil sales and thus more polo ponies. So you see he really does have the machines tuned up…

AH yes Grant - I forgot since abandoned my quest for an MBA - but I knew that that advanced seminar in FTLP ( fuck the little people ) economics was guaranteed to provide ( at least on the course outline ) 2 ponies and a Benz to get there…and I believe there was a footnote about drinking for free as well but I can’t remember clearly as I was drinking when I read it…till I ran out of money….
