How can a polished stainless steel globe show the mirror image of something that is behind it? Same for 2015_02_wat-pha-sorn-kaew

Furthermore, a convex surface doesn’t turn upside down (but a concave surface does - test with a spoon inside and outside!).

The only explanation is that it’s a transparent glass ball. Can you confirm?

Grant’s confidence in my abilities is touching, and misplaced, but in this instance the photo is straight out of the camera and inverted. Yes, it’s glass.
