The Bed Race is an annual institution which, sad man that I am, I have attended on a regular basis in order to snap the unusual participants and the resulting rather feeble “race”. The 2015 race happened yesterday, starting at 1600; which true to tradition was actually more like 1730, and I was there with my cameras to snap the event.
Except this time my cameras were the dinky Leica IIIC and the loaned Leica M6; film cameras both. Which means I will have no photos to show until the films have been sent to Bangkok for processing, returned and scanned; and even then I may not share because they might be crap. So all I can offer is a re-run of last year’s shots. You are welcome.
Shooting with rangefinders was an interesting experience, and the IIIC attracted attention. A Swiss guy wanted a detailed description and expressed interest in acquiring his own. I suggested he not buy it with Swiss Francs. Then a Thai gentleman was effusive in his adoration. Both demanded to take photos of the camera, preferably without my ugly mug spoiling the shot.
