My wife has a cousin whose life has been turned upside down.

She was married, with a loving husband and two children. Her husband had a job with the government which involved going out into rural areas and providing help and education. She was a successful saleperson for medical products. A typical, comfortable Thai family.

Then her husband contracted cancer. For more than two years she had to juggle the demands of a dying husband with caring for two children and holding down a job to support them all.

Eventually, her husband died and she and her children were devastated by the loss. But she had to carry on, she now had two children to support on her own.

After a while she thought it would be nice to have a companion in life again and started chatting on-line to foreigners (apparently I am seen as a bit of a role model in the husband department). One man in particular was friendly and kind and they seemed to get on well via messaging and Facetime chat. He became very keen to meet and offered to arrange a visa and flight to the Netherlands.

At this point the family expressed concern; flying off to a foreign country to meet someone for the first time is not a good idea for a woman, but the cousin was eager for someone in her life and this guy seemed like he might be the one.

So she organised someone to look after her children, spent some of her hard-earned money to buy a flight to Bangkok, took valuable vacation days from her company, packed her bags for the trip, and prepared to fly out today.

Then yesterday he told her that it was a “joke”. That he had been badly treated by his Thai wife so decided to get his own back by scamming another Thai woman. Because that’s what you do; when someone does you wrong you get revenge by harming a random individual from the same country…..

The cousin, already bruised from what life has thrown at her over the past few years, is destroyed by the deception; not that that will worry the cunt that played this pathetic little game.

And who is this loser? This guy:

The name he gives is Theo Verhulst, although that is very possibly not his real name. He have given an address in Holland but there is no point sharing it because it is probably false. The cousin does not know I am writing this; but I am so incensed by the behaviour of this wanker I felt the need to record the story.

Well done Theo (or whatever your name is); you have hurt a perfectly respectable and decent lady who has had to endure so much pain over the past few years; I hope you feel proud of yourself. You utter, utter twat.

I think most of the appropriate words to describe this twat have already been used. Recent events have led me to beleive in karma and with any luck this twat will get a truck load of it sometime soon but sadly it won’t repair the damage he’s done. Maybe lady luck will pay this good lady a visit somewhere in the near future, I’d like to think so anyway.

To answer some of the questions there (I am not a member):

1. Of course I am not making this up.
2. The twat said he could arrange the visa. We found this hard to believe; but after some research apparently it is possible, and he did say he worked for the government.
3. The cousin did not buy a ticket to Europe; just to Bangkok (read the post again). He sent her what he said was an eTicket. It was false.
