Our new, smaller, home has created some issues in terms of storage and display. My pathetic hoard of motor racing trophies, once proudly on show in a glass cabinet, are now stuffed in a cupboard and are likely to remain so until I either throw them out or dump them on an unwilling son as a reminder of his feeble heritage.
More fortunate have been some of my old film cameras. Previously dragged out from hiding to bore unsuspecting visitors; I have always thought they might make for a wall display. Never happened in the condo, but the management allocated me a small piece of wall in the new place, and I managed to find some suitable shelving; eh voilà:

So pleased was I with the result that I went straight onto eBay last night and bought a Fed 2 of indeterminate vintage and dubious mechanicals to add to the collection.
Now I need to negotiate for another piece of wall for the trophies.
From the top:
Zorki 4 - Looks cute. View through the viewfinder is like staring at fog. Essentially pointless.
1950 Kiev 2 1896 Kodak Bullseye Zero Image Pinhole Camera
P.S. Check out the blue curtain. Apparently I chose it. In practice this meant I was shown endless books of patterns and in desperation I pointed to one at random and said “this one”. I am such a design guru.

2014-10-03| Grant saysVery handsome and very ‘you’. Might I suggest a QD Perspex cover to cut down on the dusting unless, unlike us, you aren’t favoured with anything as common as dust…? Love the curtains, very chic. Now that you have revealed your hitherto unseen talents shall consult with you regarding our forthcoming extensions…
