As I am sure none of you are aware, today is apparently world photography day; the 175th anniversary of the first practical photography process. As this was invented by the French, I should on principle ignore it; but it is so long since I used my camera I thought I should make an effort.
The bad news was that I had agreed to take a day off from house moving and take she who must be obeyed to Ikea for a vital house accessories purchase trip. The good news was that Ikea is close to Bitec which is currently hosting a motor show of sorts.
It was a strange affair, with more Lamborghinis under one roof than you would ever expect to see. especially in Thailand.

There was a stand full of lovely Astons, and even a McLaren 650S.

But then the rest of the show was the usual dross that litters our roads, with the likes of BMW and Mercedes not showing. Still, I thought the Mitsubishi stand was invigorating.

Yes, there were the usual “pretties” to compensate for the boring cars; so I snapped a few of them.

So that’s my contribution to World Photography Day; I suspect the French of 175 years ago would approve.

2014-08-19| Spike saysIt’s not the polo season; but when it was I did take a couple of shots. Can’t get too close otherwise the horses would think it was a swarm of bees; and horses don’t like swarms of bees.

2014-08-20| Spike saysI understand this look is popular with Thai males; I personally found that more appealing than the Isuzu trucks; but they failed compared to the Lambos.
