Apologies for the absence; but have been somewhat busy with a rather important transaction; the sale of Spike Mansions, headquarters of the Pattaya Days global operations. And also where our cat keeps its litter tray.
A contract has been signed and large amounts of cash have been furnished as a deposit. I have resisted the temptation to rush out and spent it all on wine, women and lenses; partly because she who must be obeyed would kill me, and partly because I need the cash to purchase somewhere for us to live (and the cat to keep her litter tray).
Given that Pattaya is awash with property for sale, you would think this would be easy. But in fact it has proved to be a pain in the bottom. There are very few places that meet our criteria (must be exquisite, and dirt cheap), and then when you find somewhere, the owner suddenly discovers they can’t move out because they have done no planning as to where they are going to live. Which is where we stand at the moment. Found a perfect place, agreed a price, and now waiting to see if the owner is prepared to move out sometime in the next decade.
Finding the “no idea where I am going to live in a couple of months” situation a little stressful. But no doubt it will resolve itself soon. Expect breaks in blogging; have you any idea just how much crap I have to move?
