After a bit of scare with my Phantom drone last week, I took it out for another outing this afternoon; partly to demonstrate it to a friend, and partly to assure myself it was still operating OK.
Fiercely hot, but we did a little flight near Viharn Sien:

Then caught the last of the sun on Buddha mountain, surrounded by many excited Chinese tourists:

And finally we went to take a shot of the Silverlake buildings. I parked around the back of the complex and sent the drone off across the fields. I kept losing visual signal, probably because of a substantial power line between me and the drone; but eventually got some shots and brought it back; only to find it was being pursued by a security guard on a motorbike who did not appear to be very happy with my intrusion. We jumped in the car and escaped, as the rattle of machine gun fire kicked up the dirt road all around us (not really).
Back home I discovered I had photographed a new complex which is not open to the public yet; which is possibly why they did not want me taking a photo. Not a great shot anyway.
