Olympus E-M1

After years of Panasonic ownership, I moved to the opposition when the Olympus E-M5 was released.
I moved because of the image stabilisation, preferred colours and the high quality built-in EVF. It didn’t disappoint me and it was a joy to shoot with; but the controls were a little fiddly. Then along came the E-M1….
The E-M1 is a powerhouse of a camera. Controls at your fingertips, superb EVF, fast focusing and much better focus tracking than expected. IQ is good up to ISO 1600, and useable beyond that. The only downside? It’s twice the weight of the GF1 that started me on my mirrorless journey more than four years ago.
I plan on keeping it for ever; or until something substantially better comes along……
