Real photographers shoot RAW and then massage the output in the software of their choice. But I’m not a real photographer, so when I get a new camera which offers a selection of effects filters; then I am going to have a play.
Not something I would use every day, but I had some fun taking some snaps using a selection of filters, including Dramatic Tone, Key Line and Pop Art; although I have no idea which was which in these images:

2013-02-01| The Lightweight saysThe results are not bad at all! I especially like the last one. May I ask where you took that photo?
2013-02-01| Spike saysMost of the shots, including the last one, were taken at a place called “Silverlake”. It’s south of Pattaya and in quite a pleasant area.
2013-02-01| Grant saysIndeed it is and I really enjoyed wandering around - some of those Chinese temples have to be seen to be believed and the ‘museum’ with the bronze figures is absolutely magnificent. I’m picking nos 1/4/6 for Pop Art…
2013-02-02| Spike saysI think 4 is pop arr, 1 and 6 are key line.
2013-02-02| Spike saysPop Arr being the pirate version of Pop Art, in case you were wondering.
2013-02-02| Clive saysSlightly OT post folks, but over at dpreview.com they’ve posted a couple of M43-related articles. The one that caught my eye is an apparent announcement from Panasonic that we can expect a 150mm (300 equiv) f2.8 prime some time this year… Now, if only that were to come with “X” branding as well, I think Spike might start drooling now…
2013-02-02| Spike saysSpike is already drooling over the 42.5 mm F1.2, or maybe the Voigtlander 42.5 F0.95 The 150mm would indeed be nice to have as well.
2013-02-02| Grant saysNo, I’d got that thanks, it was the glimpse of your tricorn hat wot dunnit…
