Rain overnight resulted in a damp start to the day.

Perhaps a good time to go insect hunting? Thanks to the early morning sunlight, I discovered a large web wherein resided a strange looking spider. I could not work out which was the front, and the water drops on his body did not help in finding something I could identify as a face. Still, his cobweb in the background made for a pretty shot.

Other than that, there were just the usual limited selection that were prepared to sit still long enough to be photographed, supported by a substantial number which waited till I had my tripod in position and almost ready to shoot before buggering off. Bastards.

2013-01-12| Pete saysYour “spider” looks suspiciously like a stick insect. Seems a bit lacking in the ’leggy’ department for your normal arachnid.
Didn’t rain at my place up Chaiyapreuk - sure it wasn’t just a heavy dew? Cracking shots though - love the watery leaf.

There were some substantial puddles on the ground so I assume it was more than dew.
