“The dark side” is the name given to the area east of Sukhumvit road in Pattaya.
To those who live on the west side, the dark side indicates an area lacking in civilisation and amenities. To those who actually live there, it means a place away from the bright lights of the city where a more orderly life can be lived. The reality is that it can be a very pleasant place to be, although battling through the queues around the ever-blossoming housing estates to get into Pattaya can be a pain.
One of the charms of the dark side is that is generally devoid of establishments peddling flesh. If you want some action, come into Pattaya. So I was most surprised to chance upon this sign near to Mabrachan reservoir:
The small print indicates that the lady in question is not only very nice, she is also seix, but this is a bit of a fluke. Or maybe it’s her name; I promise I didn’t hang around to find out. Perhaps Spanky can get himself out there and provide us with a more comprehensive report, provided he isn’t too busy locking himself out of his room and missing appointments.

2012-12-07| Pete says“generally devoid of establishments peddling flesh” ? Don’t get out there very much then? There’s plenty, just not as obvious as downtown. If I recognise the bend in your photo correctly, there’s one fairly close to you there.
