I survived voting and election day mainly by skipping out of work early saying I had to vote again then promptly going home and watching Top Gear episodes that I have neglected. There was an expat Brit who was in front of me in the voting line. I thought maybe it was Spike lying to us the entire time that he was in Thailand but then I remember that Chaing Mai declared a disaster when the temperature dropped to 15 in the mountains. We were around 10 that morning I was voting and knew it could not be Spike because he would have died from exposure since he hasn’t faced true cold weather in a long time.
