Life's a blur

Sat down this morning to edit some shots I took at the windsurfing club a couple of weeks ago.

The early part of the session had seen reasonable wind, so I used the 300mm lens on the Canon, with a 1.4 extender to give me 420mm and took a few jump shots at 1/1000th second.

Then the wind dropped and the sailors were just messing around on boards and SUPs, not at all photogenic. So, just for fun I dropped the shutter speed to 1/30th second. Most of the time I just captured a complete blur:

But occasionally there was a semblance of focus in one place, enough to make it acceptable (to me), and the blurred water always looked good. Sometimes, blur is better.
