At the beach this afternoon, taking some videos of SUP action for Craig, and I spot these two posing for self-portraits. Full marks to the Panasonic 100-300mm which has a reputation for being a little soft at the long end, but it nailed this moment very nicely.

Panasonic GX1 with Panasonic 100-300mm lens at 300mm (600mm effective).

What about color fringing and chromatic aberration? I want technical reviews! Wait…. no I don’t. You got the picture and its good. You have OIS on?

Too technical to comment.

OK, if you must know, tripod (cos I was shooting video).

Well it’s a very nice shot, colour, composition, vanity of the Thai male, it’s got everything!

There is a male in the picture?

If you were shooting video you should have used a GH2. Everyone knows the GX1 is crap for video. Least thats what I read on the internet and everything on the internet is true.

Ah, but not crap if you have installed the video hack. http://www.43rumors.com/hack-your-gx1-and-g3-now/

Not that I have, but I could.

I actually saw that. Was looking for a firmware hack for the Canon 400D and stumbled across the site. If I shot video I would dump it on to one of my G3’s for fun.
