A grand day out yesterday, with two film cameras in action and several rolls of film consumed. Return home with the vague intention of developing one of them, but the bottle of Hendrick’s gin won the battle for our attention; and a couple of generously mixed G&Ts, plus some wine and grappa over dinner meant we were in no condition to accurately calculate development times.
This morning sees a slight headache and good intentions to start playing with chemicals; but not just yet, need a little rest first.

2012-07-15| Chang Noi saysAha the good old days of Ilford! I remember setting up my first DOKA (Donkere Kamer) and all for the materials I actually had no clue what & how to do. OK I had a small book that was writting about timing, grade of paper, grade of chemicals …. so I did visit a professional photographer …. who actually also did not have a clue and his best advice was “Just start trying, you will figure it out” …. it took some chemicals, rolls of film and photo paper but he was right. Now it was time to start playing with the Rollei that my father kept somewhere hidden from me ….

2012-07-15| Spike saysThis blog is written for my own amusement and I will write about whatever the hell I want. Reading is optional and I suggest you go somewhere else if this not to your liking, virtual shouting will get you nowhere.

2012-07-15| Spanky saysI’m with Galumay. You post about photography and then I find myself lusting after it. I then I find myself buying it then I find myself dodging phone calls from collectors asking about unpaid bills. I spent $330 on camera crap yesterday only to end up with shit pictures. I blame you Spike because it obviously wasn’t my gear or my lack of skill.
Maybe I’ll start buying expensive gin and start drinking instead. Might make my photos look better when I process them. :)
