2012-03-17| Grant saysCommon sense is over-rated! What is the clever lens that produces this effect of central lighting with the four corners darkened out? It’s very good. Nice horsey by the way, good levitation, even the bat and ball. Well done!

My guess is that Spike is using his Canon 300L 2.8 and the vignetting you are seeing is done in post processing to highlight the horse.
2012-03-17| Wally saysI reckon he taped a toilet roll on the end of his lens and shot through that !

Let’s sit quietly until he wakes up…
2012-03-17| Grant saysBut Wally, then the picture would be round…
2012-03-18| Spike saysYou guys…. See update.
2012-03-18| Spike saysThanks Grant; pretty much a perfect capture and completely down to luck as usual.
2012-03-18| Grant saysThanks Spike, I was half wrong, well done both of you! What I know about photography you could put in your eye, but if you ask me about Velocettes…
