After three years, Pattaya Days is overdue for a visual update. It’s also overdue for a content update; but you are stuck with me so that is not going to happen.
But here is the visual bit. Found a template which almost did the job; then handed it over to The Son who worked his coding magic. And after several minutes of hard labour; here it is.
Photos have more space, and if you want to avoid all the photo tech talk, just click on the “Life” menu. If you do want the photo tech, then there are options for that too; although I have not yet gone back through all the zillion posts to re-classify them.
I would like to thank The Son for making it work, and Pattaya city hall for removing the “City” sign on the hill and replacing it with a sign saying “Days”.
Let the bitching commence…..

I liked the old one ……
2011-02-24| Snowy saysBit of a shock first thing in the morning !!!
2011-02-24| MSB saysAnd I thought that I had found a cool new web site to read!…
2011-02-24| Pete saysI thought I’d got the wrong site by mistake as well. Looked more French than normal. I’m sure we’ll get along with the new look though, as long as the normal wit and repartee is present, and the levitating horses are kept to a minimum.
2011-02-24| Barry saysI think it looks bloody great. The old look looked a bit old, but the new one looks new and shiny and so on And so on. Jolly good stuff, what!
2011-02-24| Robert saysDoes Pattaya City hall know the ‘City’ part of the sign has been demolished to make way for a ‘Days Inn’ hotel?
The new layout is great, the new heading is….
2011-02-24| Spike saysBilly, and I did this just for you… Just change your bookmark to: http://www.pattayadays.com/category/life/ And you will never see a photo tech post again.
Pete. bit worried about the French thing.
Barry; at last, a man of taste.
2011-02-24| Sid saysI can only see “ATTAYA Da” at the top?? Could be my new computer though !
Otherwise, sharp new look though!
2011-02-24| Wentworth saysAt work in IE it looked good. At home in Firefox it looks Ungood.
2011-02-24| TheSon saysDr Went - you may have caught us mid-way through some live, experimental changes to the theme. How does it look now? I am testing in FF3.x, Chrome, Opera and IE9, all look fine here…
2011-02-24| Sid saysAye, full PATTAYA Days now !!
2011-02-24| Spike saysThanks for pointing out the problem Sid.
2011-02-24| Pete saysIt was the Et Voilà! in a large font that first caught my eye.
2011-02-24| Spike saysAh…. I am so slow sometimes (always).
2011-02-24| Barry saysMore thoughts. Don’t like the top. Everyone knows you shouldn’t mix fonts (don’t they?), and it especially doesn’t work when they are different sizes too. It looks unbalanced. Rather like myself on occasions. Sorry about that. Just my thoughts which you may treat in whatever way you want. Contempt, if you feel that way. I’m thick-skinned.
2011-02-25| Wally saysSid - I had the same problem. Try changing the zoom level, bottom right hand corner of your monitor. You are probably like me, either need a bigger monitor or new specs !
2011-02-25| Spike saysAll feedback welcome Barry. The very top is a photo of the Pattaya sign on the hill overlooking Pattaya bay. I just took out the word “city” and added “days”.
Perhaps it is not obviously a photo, maybe need to rethink the header image.
2011-02-25| Fistbump saysComment testing!
2011-02-26| Wally saysNo ‘Contact Me’ link ! I would like to ask you a question, plus I have a photo which I think would amuse you given that you are an avid fan of F1
2011-02-26| Spike saysOld contact form did not work with latest version of Wordpress. Now there is a spanky new version, see top right. I look forward to the photo, unless it is the one of the Bahrain grid with tanks ‘cos I have that already.
2011-02-26| Wentworth saysFiring on all cylinders now with FF. Yes it must have been a freak occurrence for IE to actually work.
