The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted a post this afternoon warning of a possible break in service as I attempted an upgrade to the latest version of Wordpress.
As predicted, a few minutes later, the entire site crashed, much to my consternation as I all I had done was change a password. I had forgotten that my SQL password is hard-coded into my blog files and it was several sweaty minutes before order was restored.
So, here we are back again, now running under Wordpress 3 and it doesn’t look much different. But now we are up to date, a new look to the site can be developed. More elegant handling of photos, technical photography stuff in its own area, and a whole load of other improvements I haven’t thought of yet. I could look for a template to use; but a more elegant solution would be to hand the whole thing over to The Son who is good at these things and can no doubt build something magnificent before he buggers off to New Zealand at the end of next week. Or not.

But I’ll pass along some template recommendations. There’s so many cool photo/portfolio designs out there now.
