I love taking photos. And if the location is a sunny field out in the countryside with horses charging around and a glass of very cold white wine waiting at the end of the day, then I am all for it.
I also love arriving home, downloading my shots onto the computer, and seeing what I might have taken that will inadvertently please me. This applies for a couple of hundred shots, but not for the 3,247 photos I ended up with after three days at the polo field this weekend. This means many, many hours staring at photos of horses and riders in assorted poses; deleting the majority and tarting up those that remain to make them look acceptable. I am estimating completion on Friday morning, just in time to load up the gear and start all over again on Friday afternoon for another three days of shooting.
Progress today has been patchy. I started the day by driving to the airport to collect she who must be obeyed, to save her from waiting an hour or so for a bus. This was an act of extreme charity and I will remind her of it for several days. Then a few photos processed before lunch, then a few more before a walk on the beach before sunset was suggested. Had to take the GF1 of course. Having seen the resulting photo, kicking myself for not getting lower and getting a better outline of the boat.

And now back to the photo processing. But wait, it’s almost time for dinner. Maybe I will start in earnest in the morning.
