The weather has returned to a state of misty boredom; really not ideal conditions for taking photographs, especially photographs of subjects that are a long way away and half-shrouded in mist (I exaggerate slightly).
But I poked my lens into the gloom this afternoon and ended up with 1,299 shots; each of which will require my attention. Meantime, these caught my eye:

The foul. You are not allowed to cross the line between the player that has possession and the ball. This is to protect horses and riders from being injured, which would be an inconvenience. In this instance, the player in white has the ball:

So when the rider in red cuts in front of him, cue much blowing of whistles. Makes for a good photo though.

Come 1700, the light was really going off and I had to reduce my shutter speeds considerably. Caught a few with only the appropriate bits being blurry, but the colours looked so shit in the fading light that the pic looks better in black and white:

Same again tomorrow. Those who have no interest in shots of horses leaping about are advised to stay clear for the next week or so.
