Bit of a racy day

Down to Bira this morning to catch Dean’s first race of the weekend. Having tried and mainly failed to take a video from the passenger seat, I thought I would try installing a camera in his car for the race. Unfortunately, I arrived a little too late to spend much time on installation, and the best I could do was tape a camera to the roll bar. I managed to disturb the control wheel when doing so, and the result was zero video. Never mind, I have grand plans for an upgraded installation tomorrow and hopefully we can capture the race.

Last time Dean raced he was surrounded by girls on the grid. Today he was not so lucky:

Never mind, I stole some shots from the other cars and maybe Dean’s harem will be there tomorrow.

From seventh on the grid, Dean made a good start and looked like he might be in a position to pick up a place or two; before a small mistake knocked him back down the order. Try again tomorrow, when the amazing Pattaya Days video production service will be operational. Maybe.

I had intended to stay for the day, but it was so bloody hot that, even after 2 litres of electrolyte-laced water, I felt drained and shaky. So back home for a shower and a cool down and then off to Nanotrax for a couple of hours of radio-controlled car racing.

Home again to catch the last of practice sessions for the Barcelona Grand Prix and looking forward to watching qualifying later.

You can never have too much motorsport.

The girls are not as pretty as the ones the other day - I guess they are not boygirls then :-(
