In September I made a trip to Khao Chamao National Park. It rained and the day was a washout.
My and my fat friend Ray decided we should go again when the rainy season had stopped, and go earlier in the day so as to explore more of the park. And today was the day. We were in the park before 1000, and it was a lovely cool sunny morning. Ideal for some photography of the eight tiers of waterfalls for which the park is famous.
This was one of the lower falls in September:

and this was how it looked today:

Eight tiers of dribble awaited our attention. Obviously we should have gone in November, after the rains had stopped and before all the water had disappeared. Idiots. Never mind, there was pleasure to be had (for me) as I watched Ray labour up the hill with a bag full of DSLR and lenses, while I sauntered along with the Panasonic GF1. Not much to photograph though. We’ll just have to go back when the dribble has tuned into a flood again.
