First match of the season, and such a pleasure to be back at Polo Escape. Big hugs and “Hola!” from the Argentinian gauchos, and great hospitality from the owners Khun Susy and Khun Robin whose latest addition to the club is a massive bar/restaurant area complete with infinity edge swimming pool that looks out over the polo field. Tapas, wine and good conversation after a couple of hours of particularly hard core polo. Only downside are the 600+ photos that now have to be processed, with more to come tomorrow and Sunday.

2009-11-13| Jock saysI like the photos where the horses appear to be flying in mid-air. Pity you discovered accountancy before photography .. you could have been like David Bailey .. all those days photographing naked babes … instead of looking at spreadsheets and financial reports …
2009-11-13| Spike saysThey not only appear to be flying in mid-air; they are! The photographic trick is to knock off ten frames a second and then choose the shot that features an airborne horse. The best I have managed is three horses airborne at the same time; I am hoping for a four this season.
Saw a programme with David Bailey recently, still a man you would not let near your daughter.

- Is Axus related to Pegasus?
- Why pick on David Bailey? There’s probably many a father happy that you’re busy taking pics, SUP’ing, visiting waterfalls or generally being otherwise engaged.

David Bailey is a fine fellow and still taking extraordinary photographs. But he is a bit of a rogue, in an admirable way of course.
