On the road between Mae Sot and Umphang there is a refugee camp housing more than 20,000 souls, refugees from the very nice people who administer Myanmar. It actually looks well constructed and it is not clear whether the heavy army presence in the area is intended to keep people in or out of the camp.
Even so, made me thankful I don’t have to live like a refugee.
On the side of one the buildings I spotted a sign saying “US Cultural Orientation”. Being of a suspicious nature, I did wonder as to who was being subjected to the orientation…..
