All for a waterfall

ยท 255 words ยท 2 minute read

Thursday.

Three hours in an inflatable boat. Forty kilometres driving on tracks that were not really suitable for driving on. Four kilometres on foot, down but more often up jungle trails. All to visit a waterfall.

Surprisingly, it was spectacularly worth it. There will be photos.

Right now, I need to sleep.

This National Park trip seems to be causing you to require an awful lot of sleep. I’ve just spent two days with my equivalent of SWMBO in an Enlish National Park, The New Forest, (as a sort of advance penance for my forthcoming 20 day golfing holiday in LOS) and found that my sleep needs were normal. Perhaps you should try it sometime. Meanwhile I hope you manage to get as much as you want; sleep that is.

Only the English could describe something nearly a thousand years old as “new”

Billy; it was new once, albeit a long time ago. We English are just so traditional.

I was young once … but am not so traditional as to apply the adjective to myself any more …and this depite being of the same persuasion as yourself …

Good observation Jock, we are just fucking about a bit awaiting his return and advice as to where we are all going wrong …
