Don't drink and jetty

· 192 words · 1 minute read

A jetty is a pleasant place to spend the evening drinking. There is a cool wind off the sea and nobody around to disturb your indulgence. So thought two men at Gotloy Pier in Sriracha. After an extended intake of alcohol, one of them staggered to the edge of the jetty to take a pee, and fell into the water. His friend stumbled to the edge to look for him and also fell in. The bodies were recovered the next day.

Meantime, down the road in Naklua, a group of four people were drinking and making merry on Lan Pow jetty. Making a bit too much merry, because a local resident came along and asked them to make less noise and mess. This was clearly an outrageous request, because the drinkers set about the man, killed him, and threw his body off the jetty.

So remember folks, if you are going to drink, don’t go on a jetty. Go for a drive in your car instead, it will be safer.

Not safe driving or drinking near mango trees apparently - or even sleeping come to that.
