This exciting new development is from Raimon Land, one of Thailand’s most reputable developers.
I last reported on this in September, but the photos from that post seem to have disappeared. So here is a shot of the construction site taken in September 2008:

Nearly six months on, how is construction progressing? Here is a shot taken today:

Quite a change! Noticeably fewer cranes and people. I remain cautiously optimistic.

2009-03-03| mart saysIf I am not mistaken, there even are huge adverts for this development on lower Suk in Bangkok which have been there for about 6 months. Seems like much more cash is being spent on marketing than on building the place.
2009-03-04| Spike saysRaimon Land do seem to spend huge amounts on marketing. In this case they could spend 10 baht on publicity and it would still be more than they have spent on construction!
2009-03-04| Spike saysNews just in: “Thai property developer Raimon Land PLC today announced the resignation of its Executive Director and CEO Nigel Cornick. Mr. Cornick has also resigned from the Board of Directors of Raimon Land and its associated companies.
The announcement follows months of speculation over Mr Cornick’s position, as the company’s cash flow has come under strain from falling sales figures. "
2009-03-05| todd saysYeah saw that on the nation yesterday. It’s a great time to be in the market for land with development approval, design etc if you’ve got the cash. I’m sure some developers who have the capital are going to do well picking up some cheap land failing developers need to offload.
