She who must be obeyed, along with most Thais, is a firm believer in ghosts (and lucky numbers and horoscopes and karma anything that might be remotely labelled as superstition). She will no doubt want a couple of these to be positioned around the condo to deal with the bumps that we hear in the night which always occur just after the cats decide to chase each other across the furniture. She is going to be disappointed.

holy crap tell me you didn’t pay 22k for that!

I must admit that the sale of some surfing gear left me with almost 22k a couple of weeks ago. It was a difficult choice. Either get a crappy box which did nothing except threaten spontaneous combustion once it was plugged in, or a new windsurfing sail.

The agony of choice.

The new sail is very nice.

That’s hysterical! The Thai version of snake oil! Give the guy who came up with this cockamame idea a gold star for creativeness! Play on their fear of ghosts…funny stuff indeed!

Looks like a fan made in the Sowjet Union. If they had bought the patent, they sure would have been able to build in the on/off switch upright though…

The slightly inaccurate placement is designed to confuse the ghosts.

Did ghosts experience a credit crunch too by the way? If not I might be interested in building a shield which protects against micro waves emitted by the Sowjet Union fan.

That looks as if its made from cardboard.

2009-03-10 | Spike says

Yes, but it’s Executive Cardboard.

They wanted to use kevlar but the latest studies showed that cardboard is the most repulsive material for ghosts.

I certainly find it repulsive.
