Put on a happy face

With the world economy in the toilet and the country in turmoil, at least something is putting a happy face on things.

And the something is…… ……the moon, Jupiter and Venus; photographed over Pattaya Bay this evening.

No matter, the first shot really does look like a smiling face!

Imagine the money you could have made printing that on a tee-shirt with the words “Be happy”!

Oh wait, that was 30+ years ago…

Moonman, the bottom one is the moon. The other two are Jupiter and Venus. Hope that clears things up.

Jock, it was inevitable you would wade in with a Uranus comment…

Thanks for the detailed astronomy lesson but I was referring to which dot in the photo was Jupiter and which one was Venus.

I rather suspected that is what you were after, but as I didn’t know, I decided to just bullshit; usually works. Jupiter is on the left. If not, it is Venus.

As the old saying goes “if you can’t dazzle ’em with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.”

FYI, I looked it up…Venus is on the left. Makes sense since it is closer than Jupiter and brighter than any other planet in our solar system.

BTW, Good timing on the photos because that particular shot won’t be available for about another 40 years!!!
