Spoke too soon

· 613 words · 3 minute read

Having waxed lyrical last week as to my accident free life on the road, I managed to wrestle with a large puddle this afternoon, lose the contest and proceeded to roll the car several times to the detriment of the car and me. At least that is what I am told happened, cos I woke up in hospital with no recollection of events. She who must obeyed, and her friend, have been wonderful, and the man from the insurance company is my new best mate. I have 20 stitches in my head which has really fucked up my hairstyle, aching ribs, and a cracked vertebrae which will ages to heal and screw up my winter windsurfing. Likely I will be here for a week. Right now I am in ICU to make sure my head is ok, tomorrow I hope for a room with wifi, watch out for the car crash shots!

Sorry to hear you had an accident but my God man…writing a blog from the ICU? You’re certainly dedicated!!!

Seriously though, I hope you have a speedy recovery.

F*ck me. Sounds a lot more serious than the shunts you used to have on Knockhill Race Track.

Wish you well in your recovery.

Greetinsg from Bahrain … should be in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) next week.

Sent you my well wishes via SMS, but I’ll do so again here. Better to stick to shooting picutres of high-speed racing cars and not drive them.

Well, we can’t believe it - just took some time out from our hectic work schedule to check out your blog for the first time, and find you’re trying to top yourself. We need to talk - I’ll give you my professional advice on safe driving (Mr ADI talking). One thing puzzles me - you say ‘Right now I am in ICU to make sure my head is ok’ - the very obvious question ‘Was it ever? Being serious though - Take it easy and enjoy the inevitable pampering. Get well asap - remember we have a serious competition planned for January.

Sometimes its just better to stay home, and wake up next to some bar girl, then to wake up in the hospital.

And rolling over a van IS NOT something to do with a bar girl.

Get well soon dude.

hey, get well soon! and yeah, keen to see the crash photos! I’ve been in a few car wrecks myself, they aren’t fun :(

Good luck with the recovery. You can’t keep a good man down….well for long.

Art – Being that Spike is married, walking up next to a bar girl would undoubtedly land him in the hospital as well!

Thanks for all the wishes. Camberley, would I be right in saying there was some wine involved prior to your offerings?
