The area in front of the Royal Garden Mall is the regular haunt of hookers, deadbeats and people selling assorted junk. Yesterday the scene was enlivened by what appeared to be a German police car, albeit with Thai number plates and a couple of cops with ill-fitting uniforms and plastic guns.

Yes, the Indian movie industry was back in town. Having previously caught a production in progress on the beach, I was lucky enough to drive past the latest epic being shot on Beach Road.
The plan was for the car to chase a bike which, for movie making purposes, was strapped to a trailer:

The bike riders appeared, leaving no doubt that this was to be a comedy production:

After much makeup and shouting into walkie-talkies, the stars were placed on the bike:


The film crew was readied, measurements were taken, and the unit disappeared down Beach Road in an unconvincing portrayal of a cop chase in downtown Munich:
