Pattaya Days exposes human trafficking at Silverlake

· 399 words · 2 minute read

Possibly.

In a previous post I highlighted the fact that the natural delights of Silverlake were being diminished by fake add-ons including a cardboard windmill and some imported Long Neck Karens. Seems like the police read this site, because Pattaya One News reported today that the Long Neck Karens were all rounded up and taken away for working illegally, together with one Thai man responsible for bringing them to work without permits.

Now we just need to find a reason to get rid of the windmill. On the grounds of extreme bad taste perhaps?

Interesting coincidence there. I’m informed that the Pattaya cops do indeed read all the blogs and message boards. But I think they might have had a clue what was going on.

In the times story, it was said the kidnapped folks were taken to a place outside Pattaya. I didn’t know it at the time, though, when I reported about this piece here:

Wow, as your readership is growing, the blog is morphing a bit. Your thing ont he Divoce was right out of my From the Headlines-type column. So much so, I’m now not going to use the item in FtH, but instead use your post in From the Blogs.

Ghost, you are ahead on the news as usual. I am very surprises that the article on the merits or otherwise of shooting your husband has not been picked up and discussed more widely on the likes of Thai Visa. Imagine such a sentiment being expressed in The Times….

Billy, your Dutch looks impressive, but I expect it is grammatically incorrect.

I took the day off yesterday. And today TOT broadband was as wide as a drink straw, so I couldn’t even get my e-mail this morning.

God, TOT sucks. And I’m totally stuck with it.

I regret to tell you that TT&T is really rather good at the moment. Currently downloading torrents at 480kb/s and offering prompt refresh of webpages at the same time.

I know. I have it at the office. But TT&T is the enemy camp in the building I live in, so I have no choice.
