If it won't fall over, knock it down

There are many ways to bugger up the construction of a building. One option involves continually pouring liquid concrete until the building collapses; an alternative approach is to just knock it down.

A small complex of houses has been under construction for some time on Theppasit road. Last week they took delivery of a large number of tiles and appeared to be ready to start building the roof. There were many worker on site, busying themselves with various tasks.

This week, the workers are gone, the roof supports are gone, and someone has taken some heavy machinery to the walls and inflicted serious damage. I suspect that if you turned up now and made an offer, you could obtain the entire site for very little money.

The way things are going, there will be more Pattaya property being deconstructed than constructed. But that’s OK, nobody is buying it anyway.

yeah seen those houses there for a long time now, figured they would sell easily if they weren’t overpriced, which they probably we’re.

looks as if a contractor was owed money and decided to inflict some payback.

Judging by the construction quality, they wouldn’t hsve needed much strength to knock it down; a good kicking will have done it.
