Regular viewers have already been bored senseless by far too many flower photos in a previous posting, extolling the delights of Nong Nuch Tropical Gardens as a photographic location. I also admire the owner’s choice of cars.
But there are things in Nong Nuch which spoil the natural beauty of the gardens. Whilst strolling amongst the greenery, what you don’t expect to find is a collection of pink, concrete pigs:

And what exactly is the point of a collection of garishly painted metal ants on a concrete wall? Really blends in with the adjacent shrubbery…..

And next to the ants is huge, ugly metal tower which you can climb up and take photos looking down over the gardens.

And the ugly metal tower is also home to a cafe selling really good coffee. And actually the ants are rather fun to shoot:

And people seem to like having their photo taken next to a pink pink, as opposed to next to a bush; so what do I know.
OK, I take it back, Nong Nuch may be a little tacky and overly metallic in places, but it is still a great place to go and take photos, and fantastic value for 100 baht. And I was there for a couple of hours this afternoon.
