Fire on the water

Big storm passing down the Gulf of Thailand this evening.

Took ninety shots, only this one contained any lightning. which you can see forking down from the top of the photo, just left of centre.

great shot, i used to live at view talay 5 close to the top and the storms that came in over the gulf were amazing, only wish i had a canon DSLR to capture them, my sony DSC doesn’t cut it :|

I drove through that monster last night on the way to Bangkok. (Well, actually my driver drove through it, I just watched.)

Haven’t seen that much rain fall that quickly in a long time. And the lightning? It was like the hand of God coming down, striking down buffalo and golfers at random.
