One trick pony

Off to take some photos of a couple of foals. Should be an easy assignment. They will stand in a field like little angels and I will snap them in an artistic manner.

Doesn’t work like that. Every time I line up a shot I find my viewfinder full of horse, as in ten centimetre away horse. If I linger, I find my camera is serious danger of being eaten. I am licked, chewed, aggressively nuzzled and there is a degree of leg lashing. If I move to another position, it is immediately occupied by a camera-hungry horse. The only possible shots are those of a horse bearing down at speed on a man with a camera, with an intent to be disruptive.

Racing bikes are much easier, at least they don’t try to dissolve you with horse spit.
