Four months, 100 cities and a surfeit of bollocks

· 433 words · 3 minute read

Cleaning out my mail this morning and I discover that it is exactly four months since I received a message from Wordpress to tell me that my Pattaya Days blog had been created. This coincides nicely with the reminder I receive from Billy that more than 100 cities (some with rather dubious city status) have residents that have visited here, although that only covers the last five days since I installed the display.

I started this blog after a “guest writer” stint with Billy’s magnificent publication. Found the experience so enjoyable that I felt the urge to do my own thing and started off by back-dating some of my Billy guest writings to populate March and April. I then expected to write something every two days, but have found myself writing twice a day on occasions. This does add up to a surfeit of bollocks, for which apologies.

The aim of this blog is to satisfy my urge to write stuff to amuse myself. That it occasionally amuses someone else is a surprise and a pleasure. Based on some of the key words used, no doubt many arrive here in search of more exotic Pattaya pleasures, and just as quickly disappear. But to those that hang around, thanks for hanging, and extra thanks to the very few who leave evidence of their visit by writing comments.

And a special commendation to she who must be obeyed whose daily antics continue to provide much of the source material.

Congrats on 4 months! The whole back-dating thing finally explains why I was surprised I dind’t discover the blog earlier.

One day I was living a normal life – well as normal as my life gets – and the next day there’s this well-written, finely photographed blog on Pattaya with 2 months worth of stories.

I was disappointed in my blog-surfing skills.

Still would like tto have a read of The Brush’s blog, if someone would like to e-mail me a password…

Keep up the great work, but, please, more pretty Thai girl photos.

Even if I am not able to “really understand and fully appreciate the subtlety of the awful English humour”, this site has become my favourite Thailand blog in a few weeks time. Thank you very much for the fun I have reading your awfully humourous posts day after day. And thanks to The Ghost for letting me know about it.
