One of the interesting things about Thailand is that you never quite know what is going to happen next.
As per the previous post, I was happily pointing my camera at people sailing, when a bunch of Indian gentlemen descended on the beach. After a quick reconnoitre, walkie-talkies appeared from pockets and within minutes a fleet of trucks and hundreds of people had arrived. Yes, Bollywood had come to town.

There was a lot of equipment to unload, including wooden surrounds into which dancing girls with English accents were inserted.

The stars of the show were cosseted, sheltered under umbrellas and made-up endlessly.

After much preparation, music was played and dancing commenced. Talking to the crew, I learned they were shooting the title music track from Golmaal Returns, the follow-up to the very successful Golmaal. They have already been shooting in Dubai, South Africe and Goa; and they are off to Bangkok tomorrow. Further checking when I got home confirmed that this is a major Bollywood production with famous lead players; so I will have to gather the many photos I took into a gallery to feed those who follow Bollywood films. Meantime here are some of the shots I took in a most enjoyable afternoon watching a movie being shot on the beach on Jomtien!

you’ll make a fortune from old German tourists wanting to take home a small momento of them and their loved one holidaying on the beach …. right next to Boy’s Club might be a good location.

Indeed I do have a plan to position myself somewhere with a long lens and capture some “unusual couples.” You will see them first here.
